Glass Creek is off the beaten path between Middleville and Hastings. It is close to the conveniences of a large city, but offers a sense of belonging that only a small community can provide. Middleville and Hastings have charms all their own, with shopping, grocery options, antique stores, golf clubs and country clubs to name a few. Residents eat at many of the local favorites such as Thornapple Kitchen and Faro Italian Pizza located in town. Outdoor activities surround the community. Gun Lake is located just around the corner and is home to the Yankee Springs State Recreation Area, where hiking and cross country skiing draws people from all of Western Michigan. In the winter the area is open for hunting and snowmobiling. The lake covers 2,680 acres and serves up options for boating, tubing, sailing, swimming and fishing. Indian Valley Campground is a few minutes north of the Glass Creek community. There are short commutes, thanks to the proximity of US 131. Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo are about equal distances, each in the half-hour range. Air travel is also easy with the close proximity of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
