Along the way there will be many milestones and questions, so we have created a platform where you can access information about your selected options, documentation & photos of the construction process, community information and benchmarks of each phase of the process.

A comprehensive list of the options you chose during the Selections process is available for your review. You may also print additional copies if necessary.

This page contains valuable reference materials including your Sales Counselor’s contact information, a description of your new Community, and an interactive Google map of your new Community. The Google map show points of interest in relation to where your home is located.
Some communities also have virtual plat maps, which enables you to see live updates of how your community is being developed

Buyers are often curious about what to expect during the construction process. The dates documented on the Construction Schedule and the Escrow Schedule will be updated once tasks are complete; this will keep you informed about what to expect next.
Your Loan counselor will work with you to obtain a loan approval for your new home. In addition, they will provide you with information regarding how much money you can spend on options at the New Home Showroom. Finally, they will produce an initial loan approval letter (Pre-loan Commitment Form) which will confirm your ability to receive a loan and establish your maximum loan amount.
Your Down Payment Deposit and/or Lot Transfer costs (per Purchase Agreement) will be due at your initial New Home Showroom appointment.
Two Showroom appointments will be scheduled with a New Home Showroom Consultant. The first appointment is called the Consultation Appointment. At this appointment you will select the colors and option selections that are uniquely you! The second appointment is called the Final Selections Appointment. During this meeting we will review and finalize all selections based on your floor plan and budget.
After you have completed the selection process, Allen Edwin Homes will determine if your home requires a pre-appraisal. If required, we will provide your lender with the final purchase price, home plans and specifications so your lender can order an appraisal. Your goal is to complete the home pre-appraisal step within thirty (30) days from completion of Final Selections.
All customer are prioritized internally during the pre-construction stage based on the completion of your final selections. Once Allen Edwin Homes has secured all necessary permits, completed your pre-appraisal (if necessary) and completed lot transfer, your home is “Authorized to Start”.
The Allen Edwin Homes Closing Department will contact you and your lender approximately thirty (30) days prior to the anticipated completion date to begin the process of closing on your new home.
It is finally here! You will want to allow for one (1) hour to complete your Closing Appointment. Upon confirmation of receipt of funds from your lender, you will receive they keys to your new dream home!
During the New Home Review, your Production Manager will highlight critical steps associated with building your home efficiently and accurately. Your Production Manager will clarify the home construction steps and establish best ways to communicate with each other. You will want to plan to take time off work and allow for a minimum of two (2) hours to complete this meeting. New Home Reviews are scheduled Monday through Friday at either 9am or 1pm.
When your foundation start date arrives, the lot will be cleared of vegetation and staked 30 feet around the footprint of the house. In the days following your staking, construction of your foundation will begin. Weather will have a significant impact on this process.
The foundation is complete and your home is ready to be framed. The framing lumber will be delivered to your lot in preparation for construction.
Framing is complete and your home is ready to start mechanical rough-ins. This will include plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
Your home has now been insulated and passed all necessary inspections. The next step is to hang and finish drywall.
Drywall and some of the hard surface flooring is complete and your home is ready for trim. The next steps include installation of trim, cabinets and paint.
Your home is now painted and countertops have been installed. The next step is to finalize plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
All of the finish details of your home have been completed. Final touch ups will be completed and then your home will be professionally cleaned.
Your home is nearing completion and your Production Manager will schedule your New Home Orientation Meeting. At this meeting your Production Manager will present your new home to you and demonstrate everything was completed to Allen Edwin Homes’ model standards. Plan to take time off from work and allow for a minimum of two (2) hours to complete the orientation. Meetings are scheduled Monday through Friday at either 9am or 1pm.
