This modern community offers a peaceful alternative to big city life, but with easy access to all Grand Rapids has to offer.
Russell Ridge is 15 miles north of Grand Rapids, providing a quiet, cul de sac community cradled by forest and farmland. The community is near the acclaimed White Pine Trail, Michigan’s longest biking, hiking and snowmobiling trail. Homes sit on expansive lots that backup to serene, natural views. A sidewalk runs down a side of each street, providing safe movement for runners and kids on bikes.
Residents are at the doorstep of limitless recreation. Hunters are just minutes from the Rogue River State Game Area. The White Pine Trail System runs just beyond the backyard of many of the homes. White Pine is a 100-mile trail that stretches from Grand Rapids to Cadillac. It’s equally suited for pleasant family bike ride and a distance biking enthusiast. Athletes of all ages are two blocks from the Cedar Rock Sports Plex, which features indoor soccer, hockey and open-skate opportunities. The beaches of Lake Michigan are a half-hour to the west, and dozens of small lakes are within 10 miles to the east for fishing, boating and camping opportunities. Nature preserves, state parks and golf course pepper the area, most less than a 10-minute drive.
While the outdoor amenities are draw, Russell Ridge is just two minutes from US 131, so everyday commuting is common. Cedar Springs, just a few minutes north, has dining, shopping, groceries and everyday necessities. Downtown Grand Rapids is a straight shot and features some of the best restaurants and retail shopping in the state of Michigan. Grand Rapids was recently awarded the top city for craft beer in America for its nationally recognized microbreweries.
Russell Ridge sits in the desirable Cedar Springs Public Schools district. The elementary, middle and high schools all reside on one picturesque campus, which allows easy access for families participating in activities for more than one child. The district upholds a rigorous curriculum that meets and exceeds state and national standards and offers a full array of extracurricular, athletic and fine arts programs. Cedar Springs High School also features a robust musical program, which saw the band earn a First Division rating in the state. High school students, through the Red Hawks Kids Club, mentor elementary students.
