PORTAGE, Mich, January 30th, 2020- Beginning in 2018 and continuing through 2019, the housing market has continued to face an inventory strain and rising prices. Overall, home sales and new housing starts (permits) were down in 2018 locally. Despite a strong economy, housing continues to face a new challenge with affordability concerns keeping buyers on the sidelines and slowing the rate of home sales. That trend continued through 2019, as existing homes sales (both new and used) are down year over year and prices continue to increase.

Compiled of public and private builders, the BUILDER 100 List takes into account the number of closings reported for the previous calendar year along with gross revenue. Allen Edwin Homes had 692 closings in 2018, placing them at No. 69 on the BUILDER’s list.
As home prices across the country have risen, Allen Edwin Homes has introduced a new collection of homes focused on the first time buyer. The Integrity Collection, launched in November, 2018 will offer homebuyers seven (7) different floorplans that consist of raised ranches and two story homes.

The community, Marion Creek, is in Marion Township, located off of Peavey Road, south of I-96.
