Allen Edwin Quality Made ‘This Milestone Step in My Life’ a Breeze

Ella VanStedum was looking to move out of her parents’ house but didn’t want to rent. Instead, she liked the idea of buying a home so that her monthly payment would be an investment in her future.

Since the price of an existing house these days is about the same as the cost to build, VanStedum decided to check out some models by Allen Edwin Homes.

“I went through a couple and talked to Allen Edwin and asked, ‘Is there any way to make this possible?’” VanStedum said. “I got pre-approved and found out the X amount that I could spend.

“In the showroom, they were able to help me stay within that budget. Everything I wanted I was able to do.”

Just five months later, the 23-year-old was closing on her purchase and moving into her first home, located in Allen Edwin’s Southtown community in Byron Center, near Grand Rapids. Construction was on budget and on time – ahead of schedule, actually.

The whole process, from contract to closing, was a breeze.

“They were targeting more of a June delivery but we kept rolling and I moved in at the end of April,” VanStedum said. “From dig to move-in was 5 months. Everything fell into place at the right time.

“I thought it might feel super overwhelming, but instead it was a steady, smooth, rewarding experience.”

From Contract To Closing

Even though VanStedum and many other customers have never built a home before, Allen Edwin has done it more than 1,000 times per year over the past few decades across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. They know what they’re doing.

It’s reassuring to understand that the home you’re buying will be built on time and on budget, with quality every step of the way.

“We’re not reinventing the wheel with every home,” said Kelly Lehman, an Allen Edwin sales counselor. “We’re working from proven floorplans, standardized processes and repeatable systems that have been refined over time.

“Because of that consistency, Allen Edwin shows quality through the entire buyer experience.”

Here’s a closer look at the buyer experience with Allen Edwin:

“When we talk about quality, we’re not just talking about how a home looks on day one. We’re talking about how it performs over time,” Lehman said. “Quality, to us, means fewer repairs, lower costs and less stress after move-in.

“Everything is designed to give homeowners peace of mind.”

Living Into The Future With Confidence

Like so many other Allen Edwin homeowners, Ella VanStedum loves walking into her new home and seeing everything she picked out. From the trim to the lighting to the hardware, it all feels like a home. Like her home.

She’s not alone. Allen Edwin gets high marks for customer satisfaction from many homebuyers. They appreciate the transparent and professional communication, from the start of the homebuying process through construction, closing and ongoing customer care. Whatever questions you may have along the way, Allen Edwin is right there to answer them.

“It doesn’t feel like I’m alone,” VanStedum said. “Anything I need there’s a customer care team to reach out and help me.

“I’m super grateful for how easy it was to build with Allen Edwin. It made this milestone step in my life so much more enjoyable.”
